Meet Our Executive Board Members

Debra Gorgos
Co-President
Debra Gorgos grew up in Niskayuna and so did her mom -- making her daughter, Emma Curto (4th grade) a third-generation Niskayunian! Debra also has a 7th grader, Nathan, at Van Antwerp. They have two dogs, three cats, two birds, and two fish. Being active in the PTO is important to Debra because of the example her mother set while she was growing up. She looks forward to helping with all of the events throughout the school year. They are all going to be a lot of fun and she hopes everyone from Hillside will be there!
Lindsey Pepe
Co-President
Lindsey Pepe is serving her second year as PTO co-president. Originally from Stephentown, NY, Lindsey and her family moved to Niskayuna in 2011. Lindsey is married to Alessandro. They have four children, three who are at Hillside Elementary: Jacob 9 (4th), Gavino 7 (2nd), and Avery (kindergarten). Lindsey is an Accounting Manager for D&D Power in Latham. She enjoys her yearly trips to Cape Cod with her family, cooking and baking, and watching her children play baseball and soccer. Lindsey is excited to be part of the PTO and Hillside community!
Amanda Mahar
Vice President
Amanda Mahar served two years as Hillside PTO treasurer; this is her first year as vice president. Amanda grew up in Niskayuna -- she's a proud Nisky grad who settled a whole mile from her childhood home! She and her husband, Shane, have two kids - Jack (10) is in fifth grade and Emma (8) is in third grade. Amanda is a Managing Director for The Lecce Group and the Executive Director of the Upper Union Street BID. She also serves as co-president for Niskayuna Special Education PTA (SEPTA).
Andrew Minnick
Treasurer
Andrew Minnick is serving his first year as PTO Treasurer. Andrew was raised in Latham and moved to Niskayuna with his family in 2020. Andrew is married to Lindsey and they have two children, Nathan (5) and Connor (3). Andrew is a Private Wealth Manager for Curran Wealth Management in Albany. Andrew enjoys camping, swimming, and exploring the outdoors with his family. Andrew is ready and excited for his first year as Treasurer of the PTO and glad to be a part of the Hillside team!
Secretary
Hilary is serving her second term as PTO secretary and as a relative newcomer to the district and area, she is thrilled to meet new people and become involved in the school and community. Hilary has lived in Niskayuna since September 2022. She has two daughters: Caroline (9) and Josephine (5). Hilary is the Principal at Boght Hills Elementary School in North Colonie. She loves cooking, playing outside and going on lots of little adventures with her girls.
